A-1 Technical Engineering Solutions has signed a subsidy contract with BRAC to provide solar home systems to close to 3500 households in seven counties namely: Bomi, Gbapoli, Capemount, Nimba, Maryland and Sinoe and Rivercess under the result-based financing project (RBF). The result based financing (RBF) is a project sponsored by the Workd bank. Endev, RREEA and BRAC GIZ. There are two subsidies level, the direct subsidy (DS) and the indirect subsidy (IS). The direct subsidy is sponsored by BRAC GIZ and Endev while the Indirect subsidy is sponsored by RREA and the World Bank.
The program is intended to reduce the cost of the solar home system product for the end users in last-mile communities providing electricity. components are intended to assist companies with operations to reach these last-mile communities. Its a result based program meaning companies will be paid after they have distributed products, and verified by the sponsors than they can make a claim to receive their subsidies.
The people in last mikes communities in Liberia suffer from electricity. Students find it difficult to study some uses candle and jaco lantherm which causes the problem to the eyes.
